Balch Springs, TX — March 30, 2024, Adriana Gomez and Jonathan Gomez were injured following a car accident at around 4:05 p.m. on Hickory Tree Road.
Investigators said that the accident took place in the area of the Hickory Tree Road and Crumpton Drive intersection.
According to officials, 21-year-old Adriana Gomez and 26-year-old Jonathan Gomez were in a Chevy Trax going northbound on Hickory Tree. In a series of events not clear, the Chevy crashed into the back of a Kia Sorento which then hit a Lexus. As a result, Adriana Gomez had serious injuries. Jonathan Gomez possibly had minor injuries. there were no other reported injuries.

Folks may not think investigations would be too complex here, but some information makes me wonder if authorities might be overlooking something important here. Simply put, only one person reportedly had any serious injuries here while multiple others had no or possibly minor injuries. Was this just bad luck, or was there a defect that caused a safety device to fail to prevent those serious injuries?
I only ask this because defects are not something authorities typically look into. Even if they do, they rarely have the equipment or training to know what they’re looking at. That’s when situations happen like a case I had a while back where authorities wrongly blamed someone for not wearing their seatbelt, but our independent investigations confirmed the seatbelt failed to due to a defect. Maybe nothing so unusual happened here, but is the evidence even getting the chance to speak for itself?
