Kaufman County, TX — September 14, 2024, Adam Card was injured as the result of a car accident at around 8:18 p.m. along F.M. 548.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of F.M. 548 and East Ridgecrest Road.
Officials said that 45-year-old Adam Card was on a Harley Davidson motorcycle going along northbound F.M. 548. A southbound vehicle reportedly failed to yield making a u-turn, and Card’s motorcycle crashed into it. As a result, Card was seriously injured. The other driver wasn’t hurt.

Right now, additional details about the accident are unconfirmed. As straight-forward as details seem right now, any accident involving a motorcycle is likely to present unique challenges. This is due to the fact a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists, and insurance companies know this. As much as they try to blame-shift to avoid responsibility, they’ll only get worse when they know some people out there already believe motorcyclists are reckless and could be convinced even without evidence.
That’s why it’s important in these situations that victims and families have their own evidence telling their side of the story. I’ve had to overcome this negative bias on many occasions, and simply having clear, convincing facts is one of the best tools one can have. So as open-and-shut as these preliminary reports may seem, it’s a lot more likely this barely scratches the surface.
