Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Considering there doesn’t appear to be any survivors here, a significant source of information isn’t going to be available to the authorities. That makes it important to ensure their investigations are as thorough as possible so that other evidence can help fill in the blanks.

One thing that stands out is there are some nearby businesses. Did authorities check them for security cameras? One of the businesses might have a camera with a view of the road, and that footage could shed light on what went wrong here.

That might seem like an obvious factor to investigate, but I’ve had cases where it took our independent investigations to finally bring video evidence to light because authorities moved on without looking for themselves. Maybe authorities here are being more thorough, but that’s not clear right now.
