Gonzales County, TX — September 14, 2023, a 56-year-old truck driver was injured in a collision with a second car around 4:55 a.m. on I-10 in Gonzales County.
Authorities report the victim’s Freightliner semi-truck was traveling west on I-10 when it collided with a stopped Ford Escape. The Freightliner’s tractor reportedly sideswiped the driver’s side of the Ford Escape, then veered toward the semi-truck passenger side, exited the road, and overturned.
The 56-year-old truck driver was purportedly taken to a hospital with severe injuries. The passenger car was reportedly unoccupied.
Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
