Fort Worth, TX — May 11, 2023, two people sustained injuries following an 18-wheeler accident at around 5:00 a.m. along I-35W.
Reports at this time indicate that the crash shut down much of the South Freeway in the downtown area near Spur 280.
Right now, the exact cause of the collision remains unclear. Current information only says that a collision occurred between a car and an 18-wheeler. As a result, the 18-wheeler involved overturned.
Two people involved in the wreck had injuries, but those injuries were not described as serious. In the process of turning the 18-wheeler back over, it appears a fuel leak occurred. The interstate along northbound lanes was shut down until around 7:00 p.m., authorities say. Right now, there is no additional information about the crash available, and authorities reported no charges or citations. Investigations are ongoing.
