Wayne Township, OH — May 30, 2023, a 16-year-old was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer around 10:45 a.m. on State Route 73 in Wayne Township.
According to authorities, the teenager was a front-seat passenger in a minivan driven by Anna Irwin. The van was reportedly northbound on Clarksville Rd. entering the intersection with S.R. 73 when it collided with the rear tire on the driver’s side of a Freightliner semi-truck.
The teenager suffered fatal injuries and was reportedly pronounced deceased at the accident scene. The adult driver was purportedly taken to Miami Valley North Hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
