Port Arthur, TX — April 6, 2023, Timesia Drake and two others were injured following a car accident at approximately 10:47 p.m. on Gulfway Drive.
Investigators said that the incident happened along Highway 87/Gulfway Drive off the corner of Sabine Avenue.
It appears that 37-year-old Timesia Drake was in a Hyundai Azera traveling eastbound along Gulfway. For reasons not currently confirmed, the Hyundai crashed into a Chevy Colorado which was stationary in the center turn lane. Following this, the Hyundai careened off the south side of the road where it crashed into a utility pole, authorities say.
As a result of the collision, Drake had injuries described as incapacitating. Two people in the Chevy were said to have non-incapacitating injuries. No other injuries have been confirmed at this time. Additional circumstances surrounding the crash are pending further investigations.
