Recently, Grossman Law Offices announced a scholarship essay contest, which was open to graduating high school seniors and college students. We asked young scholars to submit their plan to reduce the number of drunk driving accidents on Texas highways. After reviewing nearly 100 submissions, we are proud to announce that the winner of the $1,500 scholarship is Oscar Pedregon.

While most submissions had useful, practical steps, such as designating sober drivers, using rideshare companies, and other remedies, Mr. Pedregon's stood above the rest, as his was the only essay to combine these effective measures into an easy step-by-step guide that can be implemented by anyone.

Like our everyone who participated, Grossman Law Offices knows the value of taking concrete steps to fight drunk driving, which is why we sue more bad bars than any other firm in Texas. Working closely with the victims of drunk driving crashes, we ensure that lawbreaking bars are accountable for their actions. In addition, the firm's found, Michael Grossman, is an avid supporter of MADD - North Texas, serving on its advisory board.

On behalf of Michael Grossman and the entire law firm, I thank everyone who took the time to submit their incredibly thoughtful essays, and once again, congratulations to Oscar Pedregon. We look forward to printing his entire essay in a future blog post, and just as importantly, presenting him with the $1,500 scholarship.
