Houston, TX — June 12, 2024, Youpeng Yin and two others were injured following a car accident just before 6:45 p.m. along the Sam Houston Tollway.
According to authorities, 49-year-old Youpeng Yin and a 27-year-old man were traveling in an westbound Ford Transit van on the Sam Houston Tollway in the vicinity west of Cullen Boulevard when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Lexus occupied by a 47-year-old man hydroplaned in the wet road conditions and lost control. It reportedly went into an uncontrolled spin, resulting in a collision between the Lexus and the Ford van.
Yin incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. The other two men suffered minor injuries, as well, according to reports. Those who necessitated it were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
