An investigation is underway following a car accident that left one person dead and injured three others during the evening hours of December 27. According to official reports, a Saturn was traveling on Hwy 13 in the southbound lanes when a Honda traveling in the northbound lanes entered the southbound lanes for unknown reasons and collided with the Saturn.
When first responders arrived on the scene they found that Yoseph Abera, a passenger in the Saturn, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased, while the other Saturn passengers, Barnabus Destahun and Natnael Abera were seriously injured. The driver of the Honda, Katie Karow sustained life threatening injuries, and wa transported to the hospital along with Destahun and Natnael Abera. At this time the investigation is ongoing and more details may be released in the future by authorities.
