One of the challenges with any work accident is simply ensuring measures are in place to navigate Texas work injury law. We have the most complex work accident laws of any other state in the country. A big reason for that is not all workers have an automatic path for getting the help they need.
Employers in Texas are not required to subscribe to the workers’ comp system. That sometimes leaves victims and their families thinking they’ll receive guaranteed benefits when in reality they’ll have to fight for a fair conclusion. This can take a significant amount of legal strategizing and maneuvering, which the average person isn’t likely able to do without help from those experienced with Texas work injury law.
So regardless of what led to this accident, there is likely a complex path ahead for those involved. Hopefully steps are being taken beyond just waiting on the authorities to get answers which may not even be enough for what the victim and their loved ones need going forward.
