Belton, TX — July 2, 2025, one person sustained injuries due to a workplace accident that happened around noon off of 6th Street.
Authorities were called out to the area of East 6th Avenue and North Birdwell Street.
Right now, additional details about the accident are unavailable. Authorities say only that a man working ended up suffering 3rd degree burns. The worker was airlifted from the area for treatment.
There were no other reported injuries. The incident remains under investigation.

When it comes to work accidents, it’s important to be proactive and know what comes next. People tend to just assume OSHA and workers’ comp takes care of everything, but things are rarely that simple. In fact, Texas has the most complex work accident laws of any other state in the country. There isn’t always a guaranteed path to getting benefits if an employer doesn’t subscribe to the workers’ comp system. As such, if a worker and their family don’t know what laws apply to their specific situation, they can easily find themselves at a disadvantage.
