Berkeley County, SC — August 1, 2023, Whitney Strong was killed as the result of a tractor-trailer accident at around 7:15 a.m. along U.S. 17A.

According to information released by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident happened along U.S. 17A in the area of Willow Haven Lane.

Whitney Strong Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident in Berkeley County, SC

Investigators said that 32-year-old Whitney Strong was behind the wheel of a Dodge sedan that was going northbound along the highway. For reasons which are unclear at this time, the sedan collided with a tractor-trailer that was going southbound. Following this, another southbound tractor-trailer also crashed into Strong’s car.

Strong was fatally injured due to the accident. It appears the second truck driver had unspecified injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries. Right now, there are no additional details available about what caused the crash.
