Harrison County, TX — January 4, 2024, three people were injured in a truck accident just before 5:15 p.m. along Interstate Highway 20.

According to reports, three 76-year-old men were traveling in a westbound Dodge Caravan minivan in the right-hand lane of Interstate Highway 20 in the vicinity east of the Farm to Market 2199 bridge when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a westbound 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow which was also in the right-hand lane reportedly failed to properly control its speed, resulting in a rear-end collision with the minivan. Two of the men who had been in the minivan incurred suspected severe injuries while the third sustained reportedly moderate injuries. All three were transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
