Greenwich, CT — June 27, 2024, three people were injured in a truck accident at approximately 12:00 midnight along Interstate Highway 95.
According to authorities, a firetruck was responding to a previous accident in the area of northbound I.H. 95 and Park Place when the collision occurred.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the fire truck was rear-ended by a northbound 18-wheeler. The rear-end accident reportedly led to a chain reaction of wrecks involving several other vehicles. Reports state that some individuals were entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by emergency personnel.
