Darby Township, PA — November 6, 2024, a 68-year-old truck driver from New York was killed when his 18-wheeler rolled over him on Calcon Hook Road in Darby Township.
According to authorities, the incident happened around 11:45 p.m. at an industrial park on the 800 block of Calcon Hook Road. Preliminary investigation suggests the driver was outside of his 18-wheeler securing the door of its trailer when he realized the truck was rolling. He ran toward the front to apply the brakes but reportedly tripped and fell beneath the rolling wheels.
The truck driver was fatally injured in the accident. No other injuries were reported.
