People often think that a crash investigation begins and ends at charging a driver. For police, that’s often true. But victims and families need more than just someone to blame. They need a mountain of evidence telling their side of the story so there’s no room to shift responsibility. That’s often why victims and families decide to bring in independent professionals to look things over. Sometimes, there are crucial details authorities missed that need to be brought to light, and that can make all the difference. Even seemingly straight-forward accidents can prove far more complex once you dig below the surface.
