Accident Report
Dallas, TX — May 24, 2026, three people were injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 4:30 a.m. at Harry Hines Boulevard and West Mockingbird Lane.
Authorities said a dark-colored sedan was heading north on Harry Hines Boulevard when it collided with a Jeep that was going west on Mockingbird Lane. Both vehicles crashed into a support pillar under the bridge at the intersection.
Three people were trapped in the Jeep, according to authorities. One was hospitalized with critical injuries, while the other two had serious injuries.
The sedan driver was arrested on intoxication assault charges after failing a field sobriety test, authorities said.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Dallas County crash at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Authorities will work to reconstruct this crash, determining if it happened as initially described, but there is still an important question to be answered if blood tests confirm the sedan driver was intoxicated: Where had he been drinking before the accident?
That matters, because under Texas law alcohol providers can share responsibility for injuries caused by a patron who was served while obviously intoxicated.
Someone should be looking into where the driver had been drinking, so the injured Jeep occupants and their families know everyone who may have played a role in this crash.
