Waller County, TX — March 27, 2024, Thomas Richter and two others were injured in a car accident shortly before 6:00 p.m. along F.M. 529.
According to authorities, 62-year-old Thomas Richter and a 59-year-old woman were traveling in a westbound Lexus along F.M. 529 at the Pattison Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Toyota Rav4 occupied by a 52-year-old man and a 37-year-old man on Pattison Road failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign, attempting a left turn onto eastbound F.M. 529 at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front left corner of the Rav4 and the front-end of the Lexus.
Richter incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. The woman from the Lexus reportedly suffered moderate injuries and the 37-year-old man from the Rav4 sustained apparently minor injuries, as well. All three were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
