Niwot, CO — February 27, 2026, Thaddeus Fial was killed in a dump truck accident just after 11 a.m. on State Highway 119/Diagonal Highway.

Authorities said a dump truck and a bicycle collided near the intersection with Niwot Road, as the dump truck was trying to turn right onto the highway.

The bicyclist, 75-year–old Lafayette resident Thaddeus Fial, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

No other injuries were reported.
