Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
While I can’t quite confirm the exact area where this crash happened, I can’t think of many stretches of road where a truck that is stalled out and unattended in the roadway at 3 in the morning is avoidable. So why the hell was this truck in the road? Where was the driver? Did they put out any markings or flares to make the truck visible? Was the truck stalled out for unforeseeable reasons, or did something like neglected maintenance lead to a breakdown? There are just too many unanswered questions here, and I can only hope authorities are being a lot more dedicated behind the scenes to getting the victim’s loved ones a clear explanation of what went wrong here.
