Wharton County, TX — September 5, 2025, a teenage driver was injured as the result of a car accident at around midnight along Farm-to-Market 3013.
Initial statements about the accident say that it took place near FM 102 a few miles south of Eagle Lake.
Investigators said that a 19-year-old was in a Ford F-150 going southbound on FM 3013. The vehicle somehow left its lane, and it ended up crashing along the ditch.
Due to the accident, the driver was seriously injured. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the crash. No further information is available right now.

When it comes to crashes involving teen drivers, my hope is that authorities were fair and focused on letting the evidence speak for itself. Too often, I see crashes like this where people automatically blame the victim due to their age. Whether or not something is likely, it’s the facts that should have the final say. Whether that means police officers doing their due diligence or independent investigators picking up their slack, families deserve to know the full story is being told.
