Johnson County, TX — May 27, 2023, Tammy Stephens was injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident at 5:09 p.m. along F.M. 917.

Preliminary information about the crash was released by authorities, who say it took place in the area of the Farm-to-Market 917 and County Road 1009 intersection.

Tammy Stephens Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident in Johnson County, TX

According to officials, 54-year-old Tammy Stephens was in a Jeep Wrangler that was traveling southwest along F.M. 917. Approaching a curve in the road, for reasons unclear at this time, the vehicle continued going straight. This caused the Jeep to veer off the left side of the road at a creek bridge, and the Jeep careened through that creek and up the embankment.

As a result of the collision, Stephens was taken from the scene with injuries believed to be incapacitating. The current condition of those injuries is not clear at this time. No others were reportedly involved in the crash. Right now, there is no confirmed cause for the crash. Investigations are ongoing.
