Accident Report
Hurst, TX — May 28, 2026, Sita Bhattarai was injured in a rollover accident at about 3:30 p.m. on Hurst Boulevard/State Highway 10.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2017 Ford Mustang was heading east when it collided with a 2026 Toyota RAV4 that was turning let onto Brown Trail, causing the SUV to overturn.
Toyota driver Sita Bhattarai, 45, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.
The Ford driver, a 21-year-old man, suffered minor injuries, the report states.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Tarrant County crash at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
It is not clear at this point which vehicle had the right of way at this Hurst intersection. That should become clear as authorities work to reconstruct this accident, but they also will have to figure out why this crash happened. Was one driver distracted, perhaps by a cell phone? Were the traffic signals at this intersection working properly? Did one vehicle have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism?
Investigators should be able to answer these questions after they’ve gone over physical evidence, witness statements, data from the vehicles and any available video footage. Cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time, but if authorities suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this crash there needs to be a forensic examination of the vehicles.
