Houston, TX — March 5, 2024, a woman was killed following a single-car accident at approximately 7:10 p.m. along the Eastex Freeway service road.
According to authorities, a 43-year-old woman was traveling in a northbound Nissan Altima on the Eastex Freeway service road in the vicinity of the 9800 block when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the Nissan failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left, crashing into the wall on the west side of the roadway before veering right and leaving the roadway completely. It apparently went down an embankment and into a body of water.
The woman incurred suspected critical injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a local hospital in order to receive immediate treatment. However, she was later declared deceased on the following day, March 6, 2024.
