Cherokee County, TX — December 9, 2023, three people were injured in a single-car accident just after 10:00 p.m. along County Road 3211.
According to reports, three men ages 21, 22, and 23 were traveling in a southbound Ram 1500 pickup truck on County Road 3211 in the vicinity just north of County Road 3208 when the incident took place.
The pickup allegedly swerved right in order to avoid hitting a deer. The maneuver caused the pickup to leave the roadway where it collided with a tree. The pickup then spun in a clockwise direction, coming to rest in a roadside ditch on the west side of the road facing north.
All three occupants of the pickup truck sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been clear and dry. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time.
