San Diego County, CA — July 28, 2023, Richard Rollo was fatally injured as the result of a truck accident at around noon Friday along Interstate 805.
Authorities with the California Highway Patrol say they were called out to the Miramar area of I-805 near Route 52. It appears there was an initial collision in which 61-year-old Richard Rollo was in a sedan that got rear-ended by a tractor-trailer.
Following this collision, Rollo reportedly stopped his vehicle along the side of the road and began walking to the tractor-trailer, which had also stopped. While doing so, however, it appears a pickup hit Rollo and caused him fatal injuries.
Right now, there are no reported charges or citations associated with the accidents. The causes of both collisions remain unclear at this time as authorities continue their investigations.
