According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of Sheldon Road along southwest lanes of the highway.

Investigators said that a 20-year-old man was on foot at the time along the highway. While there, a Ford F-150 going along U.S. 90 struck the man. The vehicle then left the scene. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.

Often, someone is able to come forward with new information that can lead authorities to an arrest.
