Bexar County, TX — August 19, 2024, a woman was injured following a pedestrian versus car accident shortly before 3:45 a.m. along Vance Jackson Road.
According to authorities, a 79-year-old woman was on foot attempting to cross Vance Jackson Road from east to west in the vicinity north of the De Zavala Road intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the woman was struck by a northbound Toyota Scion. The pedestrian suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The person who had been behind the wheel of the Scion did stop and cooperate with the investigation, according to reports. No other injuries have been reported.
