How Did This Accident Occur?

These accidents often revolve around who had the right-of-way at the time. Was a pedestrian crossing outside of a crosswalk? Was a driver going through an intersection without paying attention? Those are common factors to consider. However, other factors need attention, too. Is this area dangerous for pedestrians? Was the driver on their phone or going too fast? Was alcohol a factor? Was there some kind of emergency? Likely or not, it’s up to evidence to tell the whole story. Whether that comes from the police or from more thorough independent investigators is up to the victims and families to decide.
