Accident Report
June 14, 2026, one person was injured following a car versus pedestrian accident at around 9:31 p.m. along Southcross Boulevard.
According to initial statements from officials, the accident happened in the area of the East Southcross and New Braunfels Avenue intersection.
Investigators said that a 33-year-old man was on foot at the time and attempting to cross the roadway. While doing so, authorities say that an eastbound Chevy Spark failed to yield and struck the pedestrian.
Due to the collision, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries. Authorities did not say if they were recommending charges.
How Did This Accident Occur?
If it’s true that a driver failed to yield to a pedestrian, that’s almost always the result of distracted driving.
