Harris County, TX — September 9, 2024, Omar Gonzalez was injured following a bicycle accident that occurred around 6:30 A.M. on Grand Parkway.
An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the morning hours of September 9th. According to official reports, Omar Gonzalez was travelling on a bicycle on Grand Parkway in the northbound lanes, at the F.M. 2920 intersection, when a Chevy Silverado coming from the west on Grand Parkway failed to yield the right-of-way and reportedly ran a red light, striking Gonzalez.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Gonzalez had sustained serious injuries and transported him to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of Gonzalez’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
