Guernsey County, OH — June 29, 2023, Nathan Johnson and two others were killed as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 6:00 a.m. along I-70.
According to preliminary information provided by investigators, the incident happened near mile marker 179 with the collision occurring in eastbound lanes of the interstate.
Authorities said that Nathan Johnson was in a Nissan vehicle headed east on I-70. From westbound lanes, it appears a semi-truck lost control somehow, causing it to cross the median. The truck entered eastbound lanes, where it crashed with Johnson’s vehicle.
Two young girls in the Nissan, reportedly Nathan Johnson’s daughters, were pronounced dead at the scene. Johnson was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
Currently, it’s unclear if any charges or citations are being considered. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
