Whitesboro, TX — August 31, 2024, two people were killed and two others were injured in a multi-car accident at approximately 10:30 p.m. on U.S. 82.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 82.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, three separate vehicles were involved in a collision. Two people were reportedly entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extracted by emergency personnel. Two of the four victims suffered fatal injuries, according to preliminary reports, and were declared deceased at the scene. Two others suffered injuries of unknown severity and were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Two other people involved were reportedly unhurt.
