Fond du Lac County, TX — May 17, 2024, two people were injured in a motorcycle versus van accident at around 9:40 p.m. along State Highway 23.
According to authorities, two people were traveling on a westbound motorcycle on U.S. 23 in the vicinity of the Rose Eld Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound van that had been on Rose Eld Road at the intersection failed to yield the right of way to highway traffic before attempting a left turn onto eastbound U.S. 23. This resulted in a head-on collision with the oncoming motorcycle.
A 50-year-old woman who had been a passenger on the motorcycle suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. She was flown to an area hospital in order to receive immediate treatment. The victim who had been driving the motorcycle incurred minor injuries, as well, according to reports. No other injuries have been reported.
