How Did This Accident Occur?

Single-vehicle accidents can involve just about anything, from distracted driving to road hazards to medical emergencies to vehicle defects. What’s important is focusing on the evidence and not jumping to conclusions. Unfortunately, that can be more challenging for some folks when it comes to motorcyclists. A lot of people have a bias against motorcyclists and see them all as reckless drivers. I know from working with countless riders over the years that this is an unfair bias, but it can affect investigations nonetheless. So, it’s important people follow up with authorities and make sure they’re being fair in their efforts. If it seems like they’re letting unfair bias color their opinions, the crash may need to be put in the hands of more neutral independent professionals.
