When it comes to single vehicle accidents, there’s always a concern of whether or not authorities are taking the investigations seriously. They’re not always seen as a high priority, so officers may not have the time or equipment at their disposal to actually consider all of the possible factors. What that usually means is they’ll land on a common explanation, like driver error, without considering alternative possibilities, such as vehicle defects, road hazards, tire blowouts, medical conditions, etc. That’s why it’s always best to take preliminary details with a grain of salt. There could be more to this story than even authorities have been able to determine.
