San Antonio, TX — September 24, 2024, a driver was killed following a rollover car accident at around 11:00 p.m. along West Woodlawn Avenue.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of the West Woodlawn Avenue and Vollum Boulevard intersection.
Investigators said that an unidentified man was in a pickup going through the Woodlawn and Vollum intersection at the time. That vehicle then collided with a car, causing the pickup to flip over. The driver of the pickup was thrown from the vehicle, ultimately causing fatal injuries. The other driver involved reportedly did not have serious injuries. Right now, the factors leading up to the crash are still under investigation.

It’s important investigators include all kinds of possibilities in their investigations. Otherwise, something important could slip through the cracks. Did this involve some kind of mechanical issues? Is there a problem with this particular intersection? Was someone unlawfully over-served by a bar? Did a medical condition lead to the crash? Were there any other vehicles involved that left the scene? Likely or not, these things happened. If people are going to get the answers and help they deserve, it’s important to ensure investigators are leaving no stones unturned.
