Washington County, TX — January 13, 2024, Michael Lee Kenoyer was injured in a truck accident at approximately 8:00 p.m. along U.S. Highway 290.
According to reports, 71-year-old Michael Lee Kenoyer was traveling in a westbound Tesla Model Y on U.S. 290 approaching the Harrisburg Road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a southbound 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow attempted a left turn from Harrisburg Road onto eastbound U.S. 290 at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to highway traffic. As a result, the westbound Tesla collided with the back left corner of the trailer.
Kenoyer incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
