An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the morning hours of September 8th. According to official reports, Marta Moreno was travelling in a Dodge Ram on Beltway 8 in the westbound lanes, at the Preston Ave. intersection, when a Nissan coming from the south on Preston failed to yield the right-of-way and struck Moreno.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Moreno had sustained serious injuries and transported her to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of Moreno’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
