Limestone County, TX — February 28, 2025, Mark Salinas Jr. and one other were killed following a car accident at around midnight along F.M. 2681.
Preliminary details released about the accident say that it happened south of U.S. Highway 84 west of Mexia.
According to officials, 26-year-old Mark Anthony Salinas Jr. and a 31-year-old man were in a Nissan going southbound along F.M. 2681. The vehicle apparently ended up running off-road where it crashed into a tree.
Due to the collision, both Mark Salinas and the passenger in the truck sustained fatal injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved. The cause of the crash remains unconfirmed.

If critical details were overlooked, it could leave an incomplete or inaccurate report.
Have authorities considered the possibility of a vehicle defect or mechanical failure? Issues like brake malfunctions, steering problems, or tire blowouts can cause drivers to lose control. Additionally, if safety features like airbags or seatbelts failed to function properly, they could have worsened the outcome.
