Midland County, TX — May 17, 2026, Marco Zapata was killed in a truck accident at about 12:10 p.m. on F.M. 1787 south of Midland.
Authorities said a 2009 Freightliner semi-truck was heading east near mile marker 268 when it veered off the road on a curve and overturned.
Truck driver Marco Antonio Zapata, 69, of Odessa died after being transported to a nearby hospital, according to authorities.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Midland County crash at this time.
