While details can’t be confirmed right now, it’s important that any crash involving a motorcycle is treated with some caution. People don’t always realize this, but they may be too quick to assume the worst of the victim. A lot of folks have a negative bias against motorcyclists, and it can blind them to the facts. Even authorities sometimes overlook complex factors, assuming simply that the motorcyclist must be at fault. But there may have been mechanical issues. Maybe a tire blew out. Maybe the victim was over-served by a bar. There may have even been another reckless driver who fled the scene after making the motorcycle lose control. Likely or not, it’s important the evidence is able to speak for itself before anyone goes around jumping to conclusions.
