Lincoln, AL — December 29, 2023, Lori Laber was killed and Jesse Ecker Jr. was injured in a truck accident just after 11:15 a.m. along S.H. 77.
According to authorities, 43-year-old Lori Laber and 43-year-old Jesse Ecker Jr. were traveling in a Honda Civic along Alabama 77 when the accident took place.
For unknown reasons, a state trooper’s Dodge Charger reportedly collided with the rear-end of the Honda. After the initial collision, the Honda was allegedly struck by a dump truck, as well. Both Laber and Ecker were apparently ejected from the vehicle during the accident. Laber incurred fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene. Ecker sustained injuries, as well, and was transported to a local medical center by EMS in order to receive treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been reported on. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
