UPDATE (May 1, 2024): The pedestrian who lost his life as a result of this accident has been identified as 53-year-old Larry Baxter Jones.
Orange County, TX — April 25, 2024, a man was killed following a pedestrian versus car accident shortly before 11:00 p.m. along Interstate Highway 10.
According to authorities, a Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on I.H. 10 in the vicinity of the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive exit when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Camry struck a male pedestrian who had been on foot in the roadway. The pedestrian incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
