Denton County, TX — January 13, 2025, Kyle Knight was injured as the result of a car accident that happened at 2:35 a.m. along U.S. 380.
According to initial details about the accident, it took place in the area of Smith Road west of Denton.
Investigators say that 29-year-old Kyle Knight was in a Mazda traveling westbound along U.S. 380. While doing so, for reasons not confirmed, the vehicle left its lane. The vehicle ultimately overturned. Due to the accident, Kyle Knight reportedly had serious injuries.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Investigations are ongoing.

Usually, the concern is that people feel that authorities aren’t really taking the time to fully consider the evidence and may instead be jumping to conclusions. It can be helpful in those situations to consider what questions authorities are considering. Here some key questions that are important for any crash investigation.
One of the first questions to ask is whether investigators had the time and tools necessary to properly document the scene. In single-vehicle accidents, small details—like skid marks, roadway conditions, or the final position of the vehicle—can make a big difference. If the scene isn’t carefully examined, those details can be missed.
Another important question is whether a vehicle defect may have played a role. Mechanical issues like brake or steering failure can cause a sudden loss of control. Additionally, failures in safety features like seatbelts or airbags can make injuries worse than they should have been. These types of problems are often overlooked unless someone takes the initiative to inspect the vehicle closely before it’s moved or repaired.
