Saco, ME — August 2, 2023, Kimberly Lavin was fatally injured due to a dump truck accident Wednesday evening on Main Street.
Officials with the Saco Police Department and the Maine State Police said they were called to the intersection of Main Street and Water Street early in the evening hours.
Right now, the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal accident are still under investigation. Details suggest that 56-year-old Kimberly Lavin was walking at the time “on Water Street.” While there, a dump truck was turning left off of Main onto Water. Doing so, the truck hit Lavin.
Due to the collision, Lavin sustained injuries which ultimately proved to be fatal. There were no other reported injuries. Currently, there is no report on whether or not charges will be filed. Investigations are ongoing at this time.
