Hancock, ME — June 11, 2025, One person was killed following a car accident that occurred at around 7:00 A.M. on Route 1.
According to reports, a vehicle operated by Kevin Minnie was driving at a high rate of speed when it struck a pickup truck in the rear, causing it to roll over. Minnie’s vehicle then continued driving in the wrong direction when it struck a second vehicle. Minnie was then reportedly acting erratic and ended up walking in front an oncoming dump truck which struck him.
When first responders arrived on the scene and found Minnie fatally injured and he was pronounced deceased, while the pickup driver was moderately injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released an update on the investigation.
