Houston, TX — August 19, 2025, Juan Jimenez Alfonso was killed as the result of a work accident that happened McHard Road.
Authorities said in preliminary OSHA statements that the incident took place off the corner of McHard Road and West Drive.
According to officials, 47-year-old Juan Francisco Jimenez Alfonso was on the job when an accident occurred. Specifics about that accident are unclear at this time. Due to the accident, Juan Jimenez Alfonso was fatally injured.

While the facts surrounding this accident are unclear right now, certain things remain consistent between every fatal work accident that’s ever come across my desk. Primarily, Texas has the most complex work fatality laws in the whole country. Despite what many believe, there isn’t always an automatic process for getting families benefits or a fair resolution. It often falls to them to put the pieces together and fight for a fair resolution. That’s a legal maze which requires extensive evidence and unique legal strategy to navigate. OSHA can be a helpful piece of the puzzle, but it’s still just one piece.
