Montague County, TX — July 7, 2023, Journie Fletcher was killed and Elizabeth Price, James Price, and Symon Ford were injured in a car accident on Highway 59.
Preliminary information about the deadly car accident says that it happened at around 5:45 p.m. about three miles north of Bowie.
Details from authorities say that 23-year-old Journie Rakae Fletcher was in an SUV driven by 62-year-old Elizabeth Ann Price. Also in the SUV was 65-year-old James Edward Price. Police say 21-year-old Symon Zavier Ford was in a Nissan Sentra.
According to officials, the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they crossed paths and collided. The collision ejected Fletcher, and she ended up succumbing to fatal injuries as a result. Elizabeth and James Price as well as Symon Ford were taken to area hospitals.
Right now, additional details about the crash cannot be confirmed without further investigations.
